A walkathon, skits, cultural programmes, interactive sessions, cyber crime awareness programme and more marked Vigilance Awareness Week 2022 at Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP).
The theme of this year’s programme was “Corruption-free India for a Developed Nation”. The aim was to generate awareness among people about the ill effects of corruption and promote honesty in all spheres of life.
The week-long event was marked by organising pledge-taking by the DSP collective at Ispat Bhawan on October 31 in the presence of senior officials, union members and employees at large. This was followed by awareness programmes and several competitive events including elocution, poster making, slogan writing, essay writing and quiz competitions for employees and their family members including gram sabha for residents of MSV villages, and a vendor meet.
The closing ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week 2022 was attended by B.P. Singh, director in-charge (Burnpur & DSP); R Muniraju ED(P&A); P Murugesan ED (Projects); K Bhattacharjee ED (MM & Mktg.); Arup Mukherjee CGM I/c (F&A), Dr. Biswajit Saha CMO I/c (M&HS) and Arup Roy Chowdhury CGM (Vig.) & ACVO including senior officials & employees from different departments/areas of DSP. Justice D Basak was present as the guest speaker on the occasion.
