Teachers and a section of students of Delhi Public School Megacity worked for over a month to give shape to their Durga Puja pandal.

The students and teachers got an opportunity to participate in an activity after a gap of two years.

The idol was made by the arts teacher with help from students.

The pandal that has come up on the school premises is based on Mandala art.

The Puja as a whole is a joint effort from the students and the teachers from several departments, said the school head.

“We wanted to bring out the creativity of our students and teachers. Mandala art requires detailing and some of the teachers had initially felt that they would not be able to do it. But they did a brilliant job,” said Jude Baptist, the headmaster of the school.

The school used artwork of students of classes IV and V to decorate the pandal.

On Wednesday the students were busy locating their handiwork in the pandal.

Baptist said working together generates a communityfeeling, something that the festival promotes.
