Dona Ganguly hospitalised with chikungunya

The health status of the acclaimed Odissi dancer, is being closely monitored, said Woodlands MD and CEO Rupali Basu

Danseuse Dona Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital in the city after being diagnosed with chikungunya.

Dona, wife of president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, was admitted to Woodlands Hospital late on Tuesday with fever, joint pain and rashes, officials at the health-care unit said.

“Dona Ganguly has been diagnosed to be suffering from chikungunya. She remains haemodynamically stable and afebrile, and is on maintenance IV fluids,” Woodlands MD and CEO Rupali Basu said. The health status of Dona, an acclaimed Odissi dancer, is being closely monitored, Basu added.
