A Hyundai Santro plying through EM Bypass late on Friday hit a guard rail and three police vehicles parked near Hiland Park, narrowly missing the police personnel who were on duty.

Suvendu Nag, 63, a resident of Purbachal Colony, was at the wheel of the car, in which people were returning home after a ceremony, Nag was arrested for rash and negligent driving.

Nag underwent a breathalyser test to check if he was intoxicated. But the result turned out to be negative.
