BA Block has begun distributing stickers for cars and two-wheelers among its residents.
The first sticker was handed over on Sunday at a small ceremony in front of Utsarga, the block community hall.
“This is an initiative taken in consultation with the police,” said Prasenjit Saha, secretary of Salt Lake City BA Block Residents’ Association. “At a meeting with the police on March 1, several residents had expressed concern about some cars which stay parked in our block for days. Nobody knows who owns them. The stickers will help us distinguish cars belonging to our block residents from those owned by outsiders.”
In April last year, AJ Block too had launched such car stickers for its residents.
