The Hyderabad Literary Festival (HLF) 2022 will be held virtually this year from January 28 to 30. The sessions will be streamed live on the festival's official YouTube channel.
Since 2010, the annual festival has hosted many prominent names at a variety of events, including literary sessions, poetry readings, workshops, theatre performances, art shows, movie screenings and more. This year’s HLF is dedicated to the late Ajay Gandhi, founder of Manthan Samvad and a former director of HLF. The guest nation for 2022 is the United Kingdom and the Indian language in focus is Punjabi.
Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee is among the many delegates speaking at the literary sessions this year. He, and artist Cheyenne Oliver, will be discussing their book Cooking to Save Your Life, in a session with T Vijay Kumar, author and Professor of English at Osmania University, Hyderabad.

In November last year, Banerjee visited Kolkata and welcomed food lovers into his kitchen, for a taste of his book and culinary skills. Cheyenne Olivier's beautiful illustrations accompany the recipes and Banerjee's tips, observations, and stories.
