“The board and the administration have specific information that there are people who are trying to disrupt the examination system. The administration is both aware and alert about it and the board is also aware of it and ready to prevent it,” Goutam Paul, chairman of the ad hoc committee that has been constituted to run the primary education board, said on Saturday.

“If we see that any candidate is not following the examination protocol or any outsider is trying to disrupt the examination process, we will recommend the state administration to take the strictest measures against them,” said Paul.

He added that if anyone tries to electronically transmit “fake materials” or uses the board logo to transmit any textual content, the board will take legal action.

The board has set up a centralised control room to monitor almost all exam centres.

On Sunday, biometric devices will be used for “facial recognition and fingerprint scans of the candidates”, said guidelines issued by the board.

The verification will be done during entry and exit, a board official said on Saturday.

The test starts at noon but candidates have been asked to report at the centre “at least two hours” before that.
