He loves aesthetics in a party and would love to have Sylvester Stallone over if he could. Yash Daasguptaa. The stylish actor chatted with The Telegraph on the sidelines of this exclusive partywear shoot at The Park.

Are you a party person?

Not really. I used to party a lot when I was younger. We used to go club-hopping. Nowadays, it’s more or less house parties. We do go clubbing, but it’s once a month or twice a month. Late nights hamper my next day. I try to avoid.

Which city or country has the best party vibe?

I enjoyed London a lot because the weather was also supportive. I enjoyed Thailand too. At one point in time, I partied a lot in Bombay. The party scene is pretty chill in Goa too. You should have the correct company.

Yash loves his formals and this palette lends him a certain gravitas. Take off the jacket, roll up your sleeves, and you have a smart-casual look in a jiffy.

What are the musts when you are throwing a party?

I focus on house parties or society party. I prefer aesthetics a lot. There will be a lot of candles and flowers. I like real things. I won’t like to overdo it too.

How would you describe your fashion?

It varies. There are days when I like dressing up and I would wear anything you give me. I know I’ll carry it off. There are days when I just feel like wearing a T-shirt and denims and go partying. So, it depends on my mood. I don’t believe in brands. I am not asking you not to wear brands, but don’t think that only if you are in branded clothes, you will look nice. I prefer to wear branded denims and shoes though because I feel they fit better.

I love wearing formals. As an actor, I don’t get that many opportunities to wear a tuxedo or a suit, but I slip into them whenever I can. I think a man really looks good in formals.

Yash is floral-cool in his rose-print shirt, jacket and trousers. The florals add a fresh zing to the look, great for brunch.

Who are the best dressed actors and actresses, according to you?

I think in India, I follow Hrithik Roshan. The way he carries himself, his entire personality... he is a complete package.

Yash’s dream guests

I would invite Sylvester Stallone. It’s a dream to meet him. It would be a fanboy moment for me. When I have felt emotionally down or broken, I have always watched his films. Rocky is inspiring. Apart from the way he looks, he is so talented.

I have been a big fan of Salman Khan since childhood.

There is of course Hrithik Roshan.

I am also a big fan of Angelina Jolie. I felt sad when she and Brad Pitt broke up because they looked so good together. #couplegoals was Brangelina.
