In case you haven’t had enough of Wordle by now, The New York Times, which purchased the game earlier this year, has partnered with Hasbro to present a physical version titled Wordle: The Party Game. And that’s now available on Amazon India, though the price tag is a hefty one — Rs 4,526.
Wordle has been one of the most successful games of 2022 and it will certainly feature in top-10-ever lists in the coming years. Even after all these months, users are still sharing their daily Wordle results on Twitter.
In Wordle: The Party Game, the game takes on a multiplayer form (two to four players). One player thinks of a five-letter word that other players have to guess. After all the players make their guesses the “word-thinker” will slide translucent yellow and green tiles over correct letters. Players will make their guesses with dry-erase markers on small dry-erase boards, which make it easy to play round after round.
The digital game was created as a hobby for the creator Josh Wardle and his partner, and back in July, The Times announced the WordleBot to help users strengthen their skills. TechCrunch previously reported that upwards of two million players were playing Wordle, and it has been mentioned in over 32 million tweets since its launch. The software engineer Josh Wardle is also known as the creator of Place, a collaborative art project/social experiment that sent the Internet into a frenzy in April 2017.
