Sustainably produced, suitable for the humid Kolkata weather during the festive season and reflecting the rich weaving traditions of Northeast India, Nameg’s new Puja collection is all about channelling stylish festive looks in heritage fabrics, with a sense of comfort. The made-to-order collection featuring kesa paat, eri silk and jamdani, is traditional to the core with a contemporary touch in its overall look for the women of today. The comfortable eri silk with its isothermal properties and cotton-like texture, the glossy-textured kesa paat fabric indigenous to Assam and produced without the use of artificial dyes and the all-time festive favourite jamdani make the unique collection apt for the festive morning or evening wear.

We wanted to curate something comfortable. This time since Pujas will happen in the first week of October, Calcutta will be reasonably hot. So, we thought why curate a collection that people will buy but may not wear because of the weather. Fashion is no more about just looking good, it is all about looking good as well as feeling great when one is wearing an outfit at any time of the year
