Vara, the ethnicwear boutique in Alipore, completes a decade and to celebrate the occasion, it has revamped the store and is unveiling a new collection today. The launch will also have live music and sumptuous treats for the patrons.

The store opened its doors in 2013 and was founded by childhood friends, Vibha Saraff and Priti Bose. Ethnic traditional wear and Indo-western fusion fashion is the mainstay and specialises in hand-done craftsmanship. There's a wide range of gowns, tunics, Anarkalis, pre-wedding lehngas, co-ord sets, fusion wear, jumpsuits and casual wear to choose from. A proud supporter of handloom, Vara uses pure silks, organzas and muslins for its collections.

We at Vara, look forward to another decade of dedication to India’s rich heritage and legacy with a modern approach.”
Adding, Priti Bose, co-founder said: “As a designer, I am truly indebted to my team of craftsmen who have supported our brand for the last 10 years. It is their hard work and finesse that gives life to our vision and as a brand we strive to continue building our artisan community. We are now in a space to offer never-seen-before designs and I am positive that from Gen X, Gen Y to Gen Z, every generation can be a ‘Vara’ woman.”
