Twitter wants you to share a tweet, not a screenshot. Lately we have been seeing a lot of tweets that are screenshots, which means the original message doesn’t get shared organically.

The company is reportedly working on a way to remind people that interesting tweets are meant to be clicked and shared. And that’s why when a screenshot of a tweet is being taken, some users are reportedly seeing a message pop-up: “Share Tweet?”.

Social media analyst Matt Navarra noted the two kinds of nudge prompts in a tweet: “Copy link” and “Share Tweet”.
