Twine Tales X Hiranya raise the flag of sustainable fashion high

It’s the common ethos of the two sustainable brands that led to Twine Tales x Hiranya, a festive special collaboration. Currently live at the Hindustan Park store, the edit showcases a range of handwoven saris in linen, linen-silk and breezy kaftans in cotton, linen-jamdani and tissue. The stock also features daily wear stoles and dupatta in organic fabrics. The collection will be available till Diwali

“We met and clicked immediately,” says Ayesha Akhtar (left) referring to Sanhita Moulik of sustainable fashion store Twine Tales. Talking about her brand, Ayesha who has worked extensively for human rights and has a passion for Indian textiles, says, “I have a deep love for Indian textiles and sustainable clothing and so my partner Sheikh Md Azim and I thought of bringing together my passion for human rights, social justice and sustainable clothing together to create Hiranya. Hiranya has a campaign running — Wear One, Clothe One and it is based on the international model Buy One, Give One. So, every piece of clothing we sell at Hiranya, we also clothe a homeless person. We work with homeless clusters, orphanage and old-age homes in Bengal.”
