What better to inspire you than these looks from our favourite celebrities. Kourtney Kardashian as Nancy from 'Sid and Nancy'

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Baker made quite a statement dressed as the rock stars from Sid and Nancy at the NoCap x Travis Barker House of Horrors on October 19. The duo’s matching OOTDs are usually spot-on but the punk vibe they sported at this bash definitely raised the bar. If you’re looking to perfectly emulate Nancy, draw inspiration from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who donned a blown-out platinum-blonde wig, a crocheted shirt under a leather jacket and a belt worthy of the metal-rock era it channelled.

Hayley Kiyoko as Sae-byeok from 'Squid Game'

That Netflix’s hit-series Squid Game would rule Halloween 2021 was no surprise. With the show’s status as a global phenomenon along with plot twists that put even the deadliest tricks in ‘trick or treat’ to shame, it is the ideal inspiration for Halloween costumes.

American singer, dancer and actress, Hayley Kiyoko, got the ball rolling and rocked a Kang Sae-byeok look from the thrilling series. The actress went all out with her costume, based on the show’s character, with the now iconic green tracksuit, white sneakers and infamous 067 name tag. “I’m the 067th person to dress up as HoYeon Jung (Chung) in Squid Game for Halloween,” said Kiyoko, fangirling about her favourite show on Instagram.

Drake as a cowboy

Cowboy costumes are always a rage. Who doesn’t love Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly or Johnny Depp in Dead Man? Drake donned the debonaire cowboy hat at his pre-Halloween costume party celebrating his 35th birthday on October 24. His Wild West ensemble featured a washed denim shirt, tan fringed jacket and cowboy hat, hitting all the right notes. If you’re looking to dress as a smouldering cowboy from the past this Halloween, Drake’s shirt-and-suspenders look is a good inspiration. Find a good jacket and hat, and you’re set.

Billie Eilish as a lobster

Billie Eilish made for an adorable lobster at Doja Cat’s Halloween-themed birthday bash. Her red flared onesie and trendy sneakers, were in vogue with the cosy, at-home vibe that overtook the fashion industry during the pandemic. You can opt for a onesie like Eilish, accessorise with a pair of lobster claws and some earrings, and you’re good to go.

Justin Bieber as Poseidon

At the same Doja Cat bash, Justin Biber was spotted dressed as Poseidon, the Greek God of the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses. Bieber clearly put some thought into his look with a platinum-blonde wig, fancy crown and even a brass trident. From king of the VMA’s to king of the sea, with his wife as his queen. All you need to achieve this particular strain of Bieber fever is a trident.

Jamie Lee Curtis as Marion Crane in Psycho

Jamie Lee Curtis dressed as her late mother’s iconic character Marion Crane from horror cult-flick Psycho at the premiere of Halloween Kills. Curtis wore Crane’s signature baby blue dress and blonde wig and added a dash of Hitchcock’s flavour of horror by carrying a bloodied shower curtain on her arm. If you’re feeling dark, disastrous and all sorts of deadly like Marion Crane, then this is your look. An old shower curtain and some red food colouring might come in handy too.
