Story’s new address in Salt Lake is a spectacular treat for patrons of the store and book lovers all across the city. Housed on the ground floor of Primarc Square near Sports Authority of India, its interiors are what fills one with awe. Although the store is spread across 2000sq ft, it has been designed with such dexterity that it doubles up the space thanks to the two mezzanine floors that amplify it. The floors also have a balcony-like set-up with tables and chairs for a perfect book-browsing experience. And it is these floors that also lend it a library-like feel, with books shelves connected from one end to the other, occupying almost the four walls of the store that also has a swanky vibe with its modern interiors.
The stairs leading to the two mezzanines — one dedicated to kids and the other for adults and young adults, are one of the strong points of the store in terms of its design. Looking like a puzzle, with books placed strategically, it’s a delight for kids and adults and a good photo-op zone as well. The use of mirrors amplifies the space, making it look much more spacious and even adding an understated glam. From best-selling novels to various genres, children’s books to classic literature, and a wide range of art materials and stationery, this store is a paradise for every book enthusiast.

Shambhavi Pansari, director of the store said, “This store has a lot of character than what we have made till now. It’s like a crossword puzzle, making it fun to move around. Children should really enjoy the space. While there are 70 per cent books it also has toys and accessories. Whatever you need in a bookstore you will get it here. We have some space for events as well that we will be organising in the future. Also, we have an office upstairs that can be utilised for larger events.”
