Snapchat is going all out on filters and features ahead of the FIFA World Cup to allow users show support for their teams. Using the new features, you can virtually try on jerseys, dress up your Bitmoji, watch match highlights and more.

“We’re thrilled to cover the biggest global sporting event of the year across all of Snapchat — with dedicated custom AR experiences and comprehensive content coverage that will include localised highlights from every game in over 30 countries,” said Anmol Malhotra, director of sports partnerships, Snap Inc.

From selfie Lenses that overlay your team’s colours and badges on your face, to new Live Football Kit Lenses that allow Snapchatters to wear official team jerseys, to Lenses featuring virtual scores and stats that dynamically update in real-time, Snapchatters will be able to celebrate the tournament together, virtually.

The app is launching official team kit try-on experiences that allow users to express their fandom by wearing official team jerseys. The try-on Lenses use AR technology that originated as a Snap Research project.

Creative tools include dressing one’s Bitmoji in the official home jerseys of their team thanks to a partnership with Adidas, chatting with friends, decorating your Snaps and sharing Stories using Filters and Stickers and Cameo to look like you’re on the field and in the action.
