A light beige printed silk with the very popular Ananda-special parrots, the colours on this one allow you to feel spoilt with styling options. It’s so soft and easy to carry, we can’t think of a better choice to drape and indulge in as you kick-start Durga Puja, on Panchami.
It’s Sashthi and you need the right sari that isn’t overpowering but also doesn’t shy away from grabbing eyeballs. This red tussore sari has a gheecha pallu with Assamese motifs. Woven specially in Andhra Pradesh, we styled it with pure silver jewellery and a beige blouse, to keep the attention on the sari, which it most definitely deserves!
A signature Ananda tussore with their classic paisley alpana on a Ganga Jamuna pallu, this blue and magenta combination leaves way for multiple styling options. Lightweight and classy, we firmly believe this would make for a great Saptami morning look, with long hours of pandal-hopping.
We obviously saved the most gorgeous piece for the Ashtami look. As you offer your prayers to the goddess, drape this kalamkari silk gadwal sari with scenes from Ramayana coming alive with every swish of the drape. Vegetable colours of green, black and maroon are used to paint this eye-catching sari with a green and deep mustard base.
Turn heads on Navami night by donning this dark plum silk ikat that was woven by a master craftsman in Andhra Pradesh. The Cambodian motifs all over the sari are subtle and have the right amount of brightness that the penultimate day of the festivities demand. We teamed it with a yellow blouse to highlight the gorgeous colour of the sari. The classical golden temple jewellery from AVAMA Jewellers gives you the perfect element of celebrations.
On the last day of the Pujas, if you wish to tread off the beaten track of red-and-white, go for something traditional enough in classic vibrant hues. We couldn’t let you celebrate Vijaya Dashami without a burst of colours. Don this turquoise cotton-silk gadwal with Ganga Jamuna borders and a striking zari pallu as you say ‘Ashchhe bochhor abaar hobe’!
