Pamper thyself
‘A good bath can change your life and turn you into a whole new person’ –– there isn’t a famous quote like this but we are floating it out there hoping it sticks. For we really believe in the power of a good soak, scrub and moisturiser! A great bath, we firmly believe, is a four-step process. It begins with a good long body massage using a body oil. Let the oil marinate your skin and then step into a warm shower/bath. Follow it up with a scrub session and make sure to get every corner. Follow it up with a soap wash. Lightly towel-dry yourself and then on your semi-wet skin, apply moisturiser. The trick is to use an oil, scrub, soap and moisturiser in the same aroma so that you start believing that you actually smell like chocolate.
Paint the town red (or green as in our case!)Nail paint lovers, take heed. Invest in some easy-to-use goodies that are available online and set up your own nail parlour at home. Get a UV machine and some gel paints and go to town on your talons! The best part…?
These nails last 15 times longer than chipped nail polish within three days of application. There are multiple YouTube videos that will help you along the way. Point to note: Do not expect bejewelled nails with shimmery base right on the first go. The videos may make it look easy but let us assure you, they aren’t!
Write me a love song
Keeping in touch with long-distance friends has always been difficult in our hustle-driven world. If there are common WhatsApp groups in place, there might be an occasional joke shared or two but personal interactions remain limited to calls on birthdays. Why not reach out to those friends who occupied (and still do) a very important place in your life by writing them a letter? Bring out the gorgeous stationery and your favourite gel pens and pour your heart out. Remind them of the craziest moments you have shared and feel them all over again because that’s what ink on paper can do to you. This is a great reminder that ‘the great big love’ is a marketing scam and our lives are brimming with love –– one just needs to reach out.
Baking is therapeutic
Cooking is therapeutic and we all know that. However, it only is so when someone else has prepped everything up for you. The veggies are cut to size, the protein is washed and cleaned and one just has to swoop in and play the only part we see in gorgeous cooking videos. However, if life was that easy we wouldn’t be curating this list for you so the next best alternate is baking. The ingredients are minimal, the process is like science and the joy derived from gluing your eyes to the oven watching your cake rise is unparalleled!

Read for good ol’ nostalgiaThere is nothing better than dipping into our childhood days of mischief when society didn’t put pressure on single souls to immediately find a partner. Remind yourself of the little things we found joy in and laughed incessantly about by reading the right books.
Pick up a copy of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and roll on the floor laughing at Greg’s antics. We can assure you, you will never be able to stop at one and will definitely end up binge-reading like we did! If not Jeff Kinney, there is always Enid Blyton who may not provide the laughs but will definitely take you on a nostalgic overdrive.
