Pilitaxi Festive, the sustainable fashion and lifestyle exhibition in association with t2 held at Sudha Hall, Ballygunge, on September 9 and 10, had 35-plus brands from across the country that specialise in sustainable products. From upcycled dresses to sumptuous desserts and recycled home décor items to organic jewellery, the diverse collection had inspiring stories behind each creation. Many of the participating brands like The Good Gift, Kasaa Hues and One ‘O’ Eight Knots are engaged in the empowerment of rural women from different parts of the country like the Nilgiris and rural Rajasthan. The idea behind Pilitaxi founder Bijaya Dutta’s thoughtfully curated exhibition was to bring together fashion, art and sustainability and thus promote responsible, sustainable fashion.
t2 dropped by for a visit and spotted actors Trina Saha, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee and designer Neel Saha browsing through the eclectic collection on display and picking up their favourite pieces. Here’s what caught our eye on a walkthrough of the exhibition.
