To be or not to be. That’s the question most of us are baffled by when it comes to going glam. Especially when it’s a festival like Id. You want to keep it stylish, but at the same time make it look subtle and understated. Keeping this in mind, we shot a fun and contemporary fashion lookbook featuring Nusrat Jahan and two upcoming design labels from the city that promise just the right panache when it comes to festive wear. Check it out!
Silver Serenity
For the fuss-free girl, this silver grey outfit is ideal. The silhouette is simple and the embroidery clean with silver bead, stone and antique handwork. What we love about it is the minimalism. The kameez has minimal embroidery accents, while the dhoti pants remain a simple silver grey and the organza dupatta with handwork border on all sides is easy to carry this summer. Put on your simple diamond earrings and you’re good to go. We added this cutesy maangtika to complete the look.

Sage Green Goddess
Perfect for that post-Eid party where you want to be the centre of attention without actually screaming for it, this silk lehnga skirt with bronze metallic sequin and pearl work pairs perfectly well with this organza ruffle top that breaks the traditional pattern of the skirt and adds a fun element with the ruffles. Samad Atelier makes it a point to choose a muted colour that is just the right shade for a day or a night event. Paired with this beautiful chunky kundan and polki necklace and stacked bangles, this look is for the stunner. Our tip? Go easy on the make-up and hair with dewy base and simple waves.

Bold in Blue
Ditch the usual suit and go for this bright blue palazzo and bustier jacket set. The blue is complemented with the multicoloured thread, sequin and mirror work that’s quirky as well as stylish. We went sans necklace for this look to highlight the outfit, but the chaandbalis and the chapka scream all things Id when it comes to this look. Super easy to walk around in, you can even sneak in some dancing in this outfit. Don’t miss the side-styled waves.

Muse in Mustard
Bringing in another fresh colour this season is this mustard peplum kameez and sharara set that has bright pink thread and zardosi embroidery all over. The heavy top is made easy to wear by pairing it with a simple flared georgette palazzo and net dupatta. Want to make yet another out-of-the-box style statement? Ditch the earrings and necklace and go for this jadau mathapatti as you let your tresses loose. Chunky kundan bangles are yet another must-have accessory.
