The YouTube channel Uribaba, a brainchild of Sourav Chakraborty and Amit Bose, is a platform that looks to discover and promote promising talent from Bengal. It was started as an effort to create new and innovative content and successful shows like Pradipta Bhattacharyya’s Birohi, which depicts a story based in rural Bengal, is a testament to that. Since their goal is to enthral the audience with stories, this time Uribaba has come up with the announcement of a dozen new web series. The Telegraph spotlights a few....

Ei Chakrabyuhe

Director: Sourav Chakraborty
It is the story of a washed-out rockstar from the 2010 Bangla rock scene. The man goes through a string of incidents in his life to the point of no return and an almost memory lapse. The music and the cult songs of this golden period lead him back to the stage and a final performance.

Birohi 2

Director: Pradipta Bhattacharyya
The critically acclaimed series Birohi had followed Krishnakanta Halder, a simple guy from a suburban town who gets appointed as a teacher in a primary school. The place is a village called Birohi. Krishna is timid, vulnerable and a lover. The story revolved around his journey to Birohi and the people he encounters there, one of them being the sharp and agile Radha Banerjee. She is a romantic foil to Krishna, and she is independent and takes charge of various situations in the season. After a successful season one, the new season of Birohi 2 follows Radha and Krishna. Will they go back to that world again? Once again all the characters have come together in the village… and Birohi 2 revolves around the journeys of the people living there.

What do three friends do when they are suspended from an engineering college right before campusing? They plan a trip to a beach getaway to chill out. However, their friendship soon comes under the scanner.

Bad Trip

The story follows a young talent management executive who ends up being a part of a freak accident. He can’t run away anywhere.

Ulat Puran

Director: Arunava Mitra
The forever bickering elderly couple Naren and Mamatamoyee Ghosh wake up as their younger selves one fine morning and they embark on an adventure where they find their long-lost love. Their kids become a part of this pandemonium.
