There was a large bowl of water and all I could think of is give the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series models a good wash. Why not? It has an IP68 rating. So the new Samsung tablets are water and dust resistant. Even the S Pen on the Galaxy Tab S9 series is IP rated. Well, we had no issues scribbling ‘hello’ on the tablet while it was kept under water.
There are three sizes — Galaxy Tab S9 is an 11-inch tablet, the S9+ gets a 12.4-inch screen and the S9 Ultra gets a 14.6-inch display.
In terms of creativity, there is a host of applications that can take advantage of the S Pen. We are talking apps like LumaFusion (perfect for video editing), ArcSite (for accurate drawings), Goodness and Clip Studio Paint.
Just running applications is not enough. There is support for DeX mode, split screen and multi-control. So if you are giving a presentation on your tablet and have some images on your phone, the multi-control feature will help to seamlessly blend it all. Or take the trackpad and keyboard on the tablet; use it to type in a message on WhatsApp on your phone. Obviously, you are now in the Samsung universe. Needless to say, all three tablets get a significant boost in terms of CPU, GPU and NPU.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series has an IP68 rating, so you don't have to worry about water spills and splashes
What I am enjoying a lot about the new devices that Samsung has introduced is the sustainability factor. More of that later on.
I can see many people buying the Ultra model because of the large screen size and the beautiful keyboard (needs to be bought separately). This (the Ultra model) is a tablet that is as big as some laptops when paired with its keyboard case, making it possible to keep the laptop at home and go on a work trip with just a tablet. Gaming and watching videos will obviously be good on these machines and we are looking forward to reviewing them to find out the degree of productivity they have to offer.
