Roy Abhisek’s Bohurupi Santiniketan’s summer edit’s fresh factor is almost palpable. Full of zest and fun. Much like the sprightly Mimi Chakraborty who was our muse for this quick but special shoot in Santiniketan that happened on the sidelines of her film shoot. The actor-MP was shooting with Abir Chatterjee for Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Raktabeej in Santiniketan, and Abhisek, who also happened to be doing the costumes and styling for the film, put her in three summer cool looks, during a short break, only for The Telegraph. We, say, thank you!
Santiniketan, Abhisek’s eternal inspiration, formed the colour scheme of the collection which comprises saris and flowy dresses. “The colour is inspired by the late spring and early summer colours of Santiniketan. So, I couldn’t miss this chance! I don’t do saris or even these kinds of silhouettes. It’s a first,” said Abhisek, who studied textile design in Santiniketan. Mimi loved the experience. “I love nature and we scouted random places. It was beautiful. If you notice carefully, the colours of the sari match the backdrop,” she smiled. Here are some exclusive photographs from the shoot, in and around Sonajhuri.
Makeup: Sanu Singhroy; Hair: Seema Ghosh
Mimi sported an asymmetric dress in cotton, just right to beat the heat. The whole look had a dewy glow about it.
The inner layered dress had resort holiday written all over it. We love how subtle the make-up was, which enhanced the brightness of the hues.

SUMMER COOLERS FOR MIMI...
Henry Cavill
My all-time favourite is Henry Cavill. I actually dream of getting married to him every day... if I ever get married, it has to be him! I have that kind of a crush on him! Shah Rukh Khan. It is calming and soothing to watch him talk. Anyone with a good heart!
