Your store has recently forayed into the gifting segment and now has a new tagline as well. Tell us what it aims to achieve.

Ellementry’s goal is to provide gifting solutions, be it corporate gifts or wedding gifts. Every product is handmade here with eco-friendly and sustainable materials because we do take cognisance of the fact buyers are becoming more environmentally conscious by the day. And we are here to encourage them to pick up healthy habits, including healthy gifting practices. Besides, handmade products come under the premium luxury segment, which in turn gives a lot of livelihood opportunities to our craftsmen.

Tell us what all are available at your store currently.

We have a versatile range of over 6,000 SKUs to choose from. From products to colours, sizes and even the boxes and the trays, people can curate their own gift hampers from scratch. There is no obligation to choose from a certain range of products. They have the liberty to mix and match and take home what their heart desires.

Could you tell us a bit about the customisation options you give to your patrons?

Let’s say there is a wedding in the family and they want to send out invites. Now if one is choosing a gift box from our range to carry the invite, it will look good if one fills those boxes with eatables, be it sweets or savouries. Just shows one’s caring nature and etiquette and values. So we have a one-stop solution for such scenarios. We have tied up with vendors who deliver us eatables. Our job is to package the whole thing and deliver it against order. The customer only needs to pay for the absolute end product.

“We wanted to bring something truly unique to Calcutta that embodies a modern yet timeless style of living well. Our products are inspired by nature, rooted in tradition, and crafted with modern sensibilities. Every product is designed with purpose and made with care,” said Ayush Baid, founder of Ellementry

What is the pricing range at your store?

Prices start at Rs 490 for a set of salt and pepper shakers. A coffee mug costs Rs 650. People will resonate more with the mug as a gift. So maybe we can take that as the minimum price for our gift items.

How has the response from Calcutta been so far?

This city has always identified us as a purely home improvement solution. Recently we have repositioned our brand and even changed our tagline to home and gifting. Our focus is on the gifting segment right now.

Where are these products made?

They are all made in Rajasthan.

Is online booking available for your products?

For our Calcutta store, no. No online booking system is in place right now. People have to visit the store and shop our products. However, we do help them browse through our products through video calls and deliver the products on the same day for free and there is no minimum value for delivery. Just that the product needs to be in stock.
