New MacBook Air to Mac Studio and Mac Pro, there are plenty of new additions to the Apple arsenal. The cherry on the ice cream is the introduction of M2 Ultra silicon built using a second-generation five-nanometer process and uses Apple’s UltraFusion technology to connect the die of two M2 Max chips, doubling the performance. It comes with 134 billion transistors or 20 billion more than M1 Ultra. Its unified memory architecture supports up to a breakthrough 192GB of memory capacity. What about the new machines? The world now has a massive 15-inch MacBook Air that’s only 11.5mm thick, weighs just over three pounds, and is powered by Apple’s own M2 chipset. The device will ship in four colours and come with an 18-hour battery and an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. The new MacBook Air is already available to order and will begin arriving to customers on June 13. Price begins at Rs 134,900 (Rs 124,900 for education).

Nobody was expecting a Mac Pro but here it is, transitioning away from Intel processors. It is powered by Apple’s new M2 Ultra processor and is up to seven times faster than the starting line-up of the older Intel-based Mac Pro. Meanwhile, Mac Studio, the powerful desktop computer, is getting M2 Max and M2 Ultra. Mac Studio begins at Rs 209,900 and Rs 188,900 for education. Mac Pro (Tower Enclosure) starts at Rs 72,9900 and Rs 687,900 for education. Mac Pro (Rack Enclosure) starts at Rs 779,900 and Rs 727,900 for education.

The latest Mac software is macOS Sonoma, named for California’s vineyard country. A few of the features include new gaming functionality, expanded video-conferencing functionality through FaceTime, new AR functionality for full-screen reactions that’ll also be available in Zoom, Teams, and WebEx and Game Mode.
