Jang Man-wol

Why we love: Jang Man-wol is a ghost, literally, but she is also the owner of Hotel Del Luna, a magnificent hotel exclusively for ghosts in Hotel Del Luna. Jang Man-wol loves luxury fashion, cars and is all about enjoying her life even after death. She might seem indifferent, but deeply cares for all her guests and staff and will quite literally pull out a gun for them. We love her fierce loyalty, her sincerity and definitely, how badass she is.

The look: We first meet Jang Man-wol in this gorgeous purple gown with a slit. To get the complete look, do not forget the black hat that comes with a net veil. For jewellery, opt for a large ring, preferably with a red or brown stone and stone-encrusted earrings. Subtle eye make-up, black painted nails and bold red lips will complete the look.

Ko Mun-yeong

Ko Mun-yeong

Why we love: Ko Mun-yeong from It’s Okay to Not be Okay is fierce, bold and absolutely stunning! She is not afraid to speak her heart and stand up for what she believes in. In one of the most brilliant K-dramas of 2020, we see her overcoming her past trauma and heal herself as well as help others do so.

The look: Ko Mun-yeong’s outfits throughout the drama deserve praise of their own. Even her nightgowns were stunning and lent a haunted look as she traversed her mansion wearing them. This flowy white nightgown is a perfect Halloween fit — easy to avail of and comfortable. Put on a little mascara, black eyeliner, nude lipstick and go for a dewy look to accompany the dress. Do not forget to paint your nails white and put on a minimalist ring to complete the look.

Saebyeok

Why we love: Player 067 from the smash-hit Netflix series Squid Games touched our hearts. Behind the constant worry and impending bloodbath plaguing her mind, we often get to see glimpses of her cheeky self that dreams of reuniting her family. She might be reserved, but strives to survive and is loyal to the allegiances she forges, even in the midst of the games.

The look: Get a green-and-white tracksuit like the players in the game are made to wear and do not forget to put on Saebyeok’s player number: 067. If you have short hair, simply go for a disheveled look and if you have longer hair, fold it up to above your shoulders. A nude tinted lipstick and hints of red blush across your nose are enough on the make-up part. If possible, you can even recreate Saebyeok’s prominent eyebags for a more authentic look.

Ji Eun-tak

Ji Eun-tak

Ji Eun-tak

Why we love: Ji Eun-tak from the ever-popular Goblin has gone through a number of crippling hardships in her life but nevertheless, always has a smile for everyone. Her strength and resilience are truly admirable as well. Not only is her dynamic with Kim Shin or Goblin one to watch for, but her interactions with all the other characters is memorable as well.

The look: For starters, you would require a fluffy and huge red knitted scarf like Eun-tak’s iconic one. The rest of the ensemble is pretty simple, requiring a school skirt, a hoodie and a backpack. Her make-up is quite simple as well, and only a fresh and dewy look will suffice.

Sung Deok-mi

Sung Deok-mi

Why we love: Sung Deok-mi is the ultimate fangirl that captured our hearts in Her Private Life. Not only does she get to meet her favourite idol, but also a partner who supports her in her fangirling endeavours! She is funny, quirky but also responsible and dedicated to her job at all times. We love how she keeps the perfect balance between her work and personal interests.

The look: We heart these gorgeous pantsuits Deok-mi dons. This pink fit in particular can help you get a sophisticated Halloween look with a splash of fun! Tie back your hair into a low bun but make sure to not make it too sleeked-back. A black handbag, pearl earrings and minimalist make-up tie up the look!

Seo Jung-hu

Seo Jung-hu

Seo Jung-hu

Why we love: Seo Jung-hu, also known as ‘Healer’, is an illegal ‘night courier’ in the 2014-15 drama Healer. A handsome Ji Chang-wook goes on trips across the city at night while unearthing the story behind an illegal pro-democracy broadcasting station. This action thriller is not without romance and is a delight to watch.

The look: Grab a black turtle-neck, leather jacket and a cap to coordinate this look. It is even better if the leather jacket has an upturned collar. Make sure to take a leather sling back right in tune with how the night courier used one to carry his parcels. Black gloves and transparent wraparound sunglasses will make sure you can get the Healer look.

Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper

Why We Love: The Grim Reaper from Goblin was as adorable as he was handsome. Guiding souls to their afterlife can often be taxing as he showed but that never hindered his playfulness and childlike curiosity. One of the most memorable and recognisable side characters for sure.

The look: To dress up as the Grim Reaper, get a three-piece suit and a black tie. A coat chain and a black hat are important components of the outfit as well. Style your hair with the bangs peeking under the hat.

Lee Gon

Lee Gon

Lee Gon

Why we love: Lee Gon is the ruler of South Korea in an alternate universe in The King. He is absolutely charming ,with an amazing sense of duty. He can also be quite a bit of an adorable nerd and his huge library can make any bookworm envious.

The look: To get the royal look that Lee Gon mostly sports, opt for a black bandhgala (even better if it has a velveteen surface) with golden deigns and buttons. Do not go for ones with dense designs as Lee Gon’s outfits were minimalist and sophisticated. A horse whip can help accessorise the look and also make it distinctive as Lee Gon often carried one.

Han Jipyeong

Han Jipyeong

Han Jipyeong

Why we love: Han Jipyeong might not have been the main character of Start-Up but he was definitely the one who stole the spotlight and our hearts. With a no-nonsense advice and impeccable strategies, it is a golden opportunity to be mentored by him. Moreover, his heart-warming interactions with Dal-mi’s grandmother moved viewers to tears.

The look: Sharp suits and sleeked-back hair are Han Jipyeong staples. A checked suit like this one will help you achieve the look. Sleek-back your hair on one side to get the hairdo. For a more detailed look, you can hang an ID tag with ‘Mentor’ written on it.

MyeolMang

MyeolMang

MyeolMang

Why we love: MyeolMang or Doom from Doom at Your Service was a devastatingly handsome guest on our screens earlier this year. His story was a painful one, but we loved seeing his frown eventually turn to smiles as he discovered the wonders of life around him.

The look: Doom, as his name would suggest, wore mostly all-black outfits in the first half of the drama. Simply grab a black turtleneck, pants and a trench coat to get the look. Myeol Mang also tended to have redder lips than usual, a pale complexion and a greyish tinge in his hair. For your hair, you can get spray colours to temporarily have a greyish tinge. A tinted lip balm or a soft peach lipstick can help you get the perfect look.
