According to Google, UNESCO designated Neapolitan ‘Pizzaiuolo’ as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 6, 2007.

The Neapolitan ‘Pizzaiuolo’ art is a culinary activity that consists of four distinct steps connected to the preparation of the dough and its baking in a wood-fired oven, requiring a rotatory movement by the baker. The practice originated in Naples, the capital of the Campania Region of Italy.

To celebrate this culinary practice, Google's latest doodle includes a mini-game in which users have to cut a pizza into a certain number of pieces while completing certain requirements like how the toppings should be distributed! The mini-game includes 11 distinct pizza flavours, ranging from margherita to dessert pizza. The more accurately players cut the pizza, the more stars they earn.

The virtual game was announced on December 6 by Google on its social media channels.
