Inspired from Mughal motifs of art, craft and architecture and based on a summer pastel colour palette enhanced with bright shades — that’s Ruceru’s new bridal collection ‘Noor’. An ode to deft craftsmanship rooted in Indian traditions, the collection shot in the backdrop of the Prayag Film City of Midnapore in West Bengal, features the delicate craft of hand embroidery on the outfits.

“Taking inspiration from Mughal architecture and designs, this collection is an ode to Indian traditional craftsmanship. We used hand-embroidered zardozi work teamed with resham embroidery to depict traditional motifs, like peacock, lotus, paisleys, which are seen in Indian artwork and architecture. This collection sheds light on the Indian art and craft and its people,” said Ruchi Roongta (left) and Rashi Agarwal, the ladies behind Ruceru.
