Passionate fashionistas and best friends Varsha Wadhwa Chirimar and Anisha Juneja are coming up with a one-of-a-kind luxury lifestyle trunk show in the city called The Style Grove. This one-day show, the besties’ first fashion venture together, will be held on August 23 at ITC Royal Bengal, featuring a curated display of 50 national and international lifestyle and F&B brands.

What makes this exhibition unique is the curators’ collaboration with Earth Day Network (Earthday.org) to organise an environmentally friendly exhibition, and to raise awareness for brands and shoppers regarding environmental consciousness. As a part of their exhibition-with-a-cause initiative, the curators have chosen the venue as ITC Royal Bengal, which is one of the largest hotel chains in the world to receive the coveted LEED Platinum Certification, making it one of the greenest luxury hotels in the world; pledged to plant over thousands of trees in urban and rural areas and arranged for an e-vehicle to remain parked outside ITC on the day of the exhibition to collect old clothes and e-waste from the shoppers attending, against which they will be issued discount coupons which can be redeemed at the exhibition itself.

The announcement of the event was made with a pre-launch soiree party last month, held at a private resident glasshouse rooftop called Ospira Rooftop, over a delectable spread of Italian and Asian cuisine and snacks along with high tea and champagne. Many guests came dressed in outfits from designers who will showcase at the exhibition, like Renu Tandon, Puneet Kapoor, Neeraj & Alpana, Nipa Badiani, and others. Ochre at Home by Sweta Arya set up luxury sofas and eye-catching coffee tables for the guests. Ankita Gutgutia of Posh Balloons prettied up the place with an eco-friendly decor with earthen potted plants and natural organic materials as well as reusable materials. Bhawani Bansal, using old branches and coir, with jute as a base, took care of the table decor. Guests were treated to a burst of flavours, including Asian, Italian, healthy yet delectable canapés and cheese boards from Basil by Trishya Beriwala. 16th Street Patisserie by Shivani Kanoi served the desserts, which looked like pieces of art.

The exhibition on August 23 will have 50 participating brands showcasing Western pret and Indian womenswear, menswear, kidswear, fine jewellery, accessories, lifestyle and home decor products. Some international luxury brands will bring their bags, shoes and accessories. Look out for brands like Anatina and Arzo Couture Jewels for accessories, Cotton Tails and Squeal and Babbles for kidswear, Sevenfriday x Hype Time, Wrapgame and Tara & I for apparel, and Graze Gourmet and Ivory Bloom Bakes in the F&B section.
