If you have any kind of presence on social media, chances are you have seen more than one instance of friends and celebrities alike dancing to Kacha Badam.

Bhuban Badyakar, a peanut seller from West Bengal’s Birbhum district, became a viral sensation earlier this year with his peppy jingle Kacha Badam, sparking the trending dancing challenge. Many popular television actors including Rupali Ganguli and Big Boss contestant Urfi Javed also joined the bandwagon.

The trend has now crossed borders and gone international. French dancer Jika (@jikamanu on Instagram) put up a new reel on his Instagram page nailing the song’s steps.

In under a week, the video has gone viral, capturing the attention of desi netizens. In the video, Jika, along with his two friends, flawlessly executes the popular choreography with his own personal flair. The video has over 50,000 likes and over 600 comments, and has been viewed almost 4,26,000 times.

This is not the Frenchman’s first experience dancing to an Indian song. He has grooved to many Bollywood and regional Indian numbers, from Tip tip barsa paani to Hardy Sandhu’s Bijlee Bijlee. In December last year, Jika became an almost instant fan favourite on Indian social media, owing to his dance video on Naatu naatu, from the Telugu film RRR.

His Instagram profile has many an entertaining video of him and his friends dancing to foot-tapping, popular numbers from India, including Srivalli, Kolaveri di and Guru Randhawa’s Dance Meri Rani, all of which now have over a million views.
