In the midst of soaking up the romance that was Cannes, the gorgeous Sobhita Dhulipala took some quick questions from t2.

How excited were you about being at Cannes with Magnum?

I was definitely kicked... quite fun to hop on this global spree with a brand I’ve loved as a consumer for a long time. Being part of the celebration and representing them on a prestigious platform was naturally delightful. The experience combines my passion for cinema and the pleasures of indulgence, making it an unforgettable adventure.

How did the association with Magnum come about?

My association with Magnum began with a recent collaboration at Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai. During this event, it became evident that we shared a mutual appreciation for each others’ ideas and ethos. This initial collaboration set the stage for a longer journey together, as we both recognised the potential for a lasting partnership. Supporting each other in various endeavours, we aim to bring a sense of joy and sophistication to our audience, celebrating the finer things in life.

What was the prep like?

Relaxed, and filled with all kinds of pizzas and pastas!

Tell us about your wardrobe and the choice of designers...

I wore Namrata Joshipura for the Magnum party and Itrh and Roma Narsinghani for the Magnum experience. Fun, handmade, homegrown and on-theme!

What did you expect Cannes to be like?

A whirlwind, of course!

You’ve been to France before...

My first Cannes experience was with my debut film Raman Raghav 2.0 directed by Anurag Kashyap in 2016. It was part of the prestigious Directors’ Fortnight segment. It was an incredible experience. I was also here a couple of years ago for the shoot of Made in Heaven Season 2.

If there’s one thing that you could imbibe from the French way of life, what would it be and why?

Their food, their chill approach to lifestyle and their love for the arts.
