Footwear brand Fizzy Goblet known for its happy designs has recently launched a line of handcrafted leather bags that’s elegant and feminine. Laksheeta Govil of Fizzy Goblet, tells t2 more about the range.
Congratulations on your new line of bags! What was the focus of your inaugural range?
The focus of our inaugural range was to introduce new styles, motifs, and hues of bags that can add a touch of joy to your everyday adventures. We wanted to create bags that were both stylish and functional, and that would make people feel happy and confident when they carried them.
Can you tell us about the shapes and sizes of the bags in your collection?
There are five styles of bags in our collection: the Fizzy Tote, the Mini Goblet, the Sun Bag Raffia, the Basket Bag, and the Shoulder Bag. The Fizzy Tote is a large, roomy bag that is perfect for everyday use. The Mini Goblet is a smaller, more compact bag that is perfect for travel or nights out. The Sun Bag Raffia is a unique, raffia bag that is perfect for summer. The Basket Bag is a stylish, woven bag that is perfect for the beach or the park. The Shoulder Bag is a versatile bag that can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder.
What kind of design details do the bags have?
The designs on the bags are inspired by our iconic shoes. For example, the Carpe Diem Basket Bag has the same pattern as the pair of Fizzy G mules with the same name. We have given playful and dreamlike detailing to the bags with the designs.
Are you a big-bag person or a small-bag person?
I am a big-bag person. I like to have plenty of space to carry everything I need, and I also like the way big bags look.
What will we always find in your bag?
You will always find a diary in my bag. I use it to keep track of my appointments, to-do lists, and thoughts.
Do you think bags define personalities?
I think bags can accentuate personalities, but I don’t think they define them. There are many different types of bags, and people can choose the ones that best reflect their own individual style.
Can you suggest styles to carry to: 1) Dinner 2) Brunch with girlfriends 3) A date night?
For dinner, I would suggest the Mini Goblet bag. It is a stylish and versatile bag that can be dressed up or down.For brunch with girlfriends, I would suggest the Sun Bag Raffia. It is a fun and festive bag that is perfect for a casual outing.For a date night, I would suggest the Shoulder Bag. It is a classic and elegant bag that is perfect for a special occasion.
