Across the city, Puja organisers are gearing up for competitions. From the idol to the pandals, themes to the sparkling lights, everyone is keen to know which prestigious Puja will be the winner.
To present the Kolkata abasan (housing society) Pujas to the world, Anandabazar.com is hosting Abasaner Singhashone — a competition in search of the best abasan Puja.
A whopping 239 Pujas from Kolkata are participating in this competition. From these, 20 will be shortlisted. After that the voting will begin.
The voting lines will be put on from October 11 to 12. Our jury — made up of eminent personalities — will also check out the minutest details of the Pujas to select the best.
From the votes and the jury’s decision, 10 pujas will be selected. The winers will get the Kolkata Abasaner Singhashone crown. Besides the first and the second runner-up positions, seven Pujas will win special mentions.
The competition is being presented in cooperation with Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Bazaar Kolkata, Turtle Online, Sreeleathers, Macho Hint, Nanighar, Spencer’s Online, Magnolia and Berger Paints.
