One of the biggest gold and diamond retail chains in the country, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, recently kicked off the 10th edition of its popular ‘Brides of India’ campaign at its Kankurgachi showroom in the city. The campaign focuses on the brand’s latest range of bridal jewellery and region-specific bridal collections which straddle the entire spectrum of a wedding. On the occasion, six lady customers dressed in Malabar Gold & Diamond’s bridal collection and representing the new-age Bengali and non-Bengali brides of West Bengal took part in a ramp walk showcasing looks of varying styles and trends.

The event also featured the launch of the special theme song of the campaign, #ShowtheWay, which features brand ambassadors Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor and brides from various regions of the country. The three-minute video showcases new-age brides as achievers and show-stealers, breaking stereotypes while holding tradition close to their hearts. The brides are portrayed as calm and confident, kind and effervescent, possessing qualities that reflect the spirit of the modern woman. Written by prominent scriptwriter and lyricist Juhi Chaturvedi and composed by music director Kingshuk Chakravarty, the music video of the song was shot by director Kookie Gulati.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds also launched a special ‘Brides of India’ e-brochure and has created digital lookbooks with the objective of helping prospective brides explore various bridal looks from its wide-ranging bridal jewellery collections.
