The Kantha Store by Farah Khan, the recently launched one-stop kantha shop on Loudon Street, has come up with its first Puja collection. The collection, a medley of bright hues, blends the traditional craft of kantha with contemporary as well as traditional patterns to create exquisite Indian ethnic styles in womenswear for the festive season. To make the beautiful craft of kantha accessible to all generations, the eclectic collection features saris and dupattas catering to the quintessential traditional styling taste as well as modern, contemporary choice.

“My vision is to break the traditional space that typical kantha saris are confined to and introduce them into daily wear, workwear, and of course party wear saris. The focus on party wear kantha saris is the illustrative embroidery, use of light and flowy pure silks and tussores. Modern geometrical patterns, embellishments like sequins and zari border make them look smart and suitable as occasion wear, festive or wedding party wear.

The festive collection for 2022 is a mix of bright colours with beautiful and intricate florals, paisleys and Japanese Sashiko designs, which will make you look gorgeous in the festivities like Durga Puja, Navratri and Diwali. Flawless silk pieces made with natural fibre makes them perfect fit for the festive season. The patterns are generally contemporary and can be teamed with designer blouses to flaunt a stylish look during Puja evenings,” said Farah Khan, owner, The Kantha Store by Farah Khan.
