Chair of Jury Alka Pande announced the longlist in Delhi

The eighth edition of Oxford Bookstore Book Cover Prize announced a total of 21 titles across genres and themes. The longlist was made public at The Park, New Delhi on December 19 and the jurors included Priti Paul, Shobhaa De, Kunal Basu, Shashi Tharoor and Alka Pande who helped create a rich and diverse perspective for the selection of the longlist from amongst 600 plus eligible entries.

Considered to be one of the most prestigious book cover design awards in the publishing industry, the longlist aligns with the celebration of the 100 glorious years of Oxford Bookstore. Priti Paul, prize jury member and director Apeejay Surrendra Group said, “Resilience, innovation and creativity in the recent times of turmoil and lockdown, are strikingly apparent in this year’s longlist of excellent book covers reiterating that artistic expression constantly evolves in times of crises.”
