The Holi celebration at The Bengal Rowing Club on Sunday, March 5, was taken to a whole new level with the incredibly talented Sugandha Mishra gracing the stage at the lawns by the lake.
Sugandha enchanted an audience of over 1,000 people with her melodious renditions of legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar’s songs, bringing back nostalgic memories. She added to the evening with her impeccable mimicry, leaving everyone in splits, as she effortlessly impersonated some of the favourite stars.
The highlight of the evening was the audience’s enthusiastic participation. Sugandha’s charismatic presence and interactive performance got everyone dancing and grooving to the music, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Her warmth and charm knew no bounds, as she graciously clicked pictures with club members, making the event even more memorable.
“And, of course, we cannot forget the delicious Holi-special treats that added to the festive mood. Our Thandai, infused with exotic flavours, and scrumptious snacks were relished by all, making the celebration truly wholesome,” said entertainment committee chairman Rohit Bihani.
This vibrant Holi celebration was one of many such events BRC has offered this season, and many such fun-filled events are in store for the future.
