"At Wykiki, the major part of our menu has Chinese cuisine, so this festival was a great attempt to bring in different flavours from all over the South East Asian region. For me, the must-try items are the Lamb Rendang with Roti Jala and the Bibimbap," said Gopi Chetriya, sous chef, Wykiki.

What: Asian Hawker's Market

Where: Wykiki, Taj City Centre Newtown

On till: August 31

Timings: Noon to midnight

Meal for two: Rs 2,500-plus

Chilli Crab: This is a hit item from the streets of Singapore. Mud crab is cooked in a sauce that is a flavour bomb with ingredients such as shrimp paste, soya sauce, aromats, and garlic among others. Prepare to roll up your sleeves as this can be a messy indulgence.

Baozi: Taking us back to childhood China Town days is this fluffy Chinese-style bao that had a rich chicken and herbs filling. Pork as well as vegetarian options are also available.
