The Delhi-based viral baker took a styling workshop, hosted by Conosh in association with The Prop Affair, at The Salt House

The event was hosted by Conosh, which is a community of people dedicated to food and everything around it. Conosh hosts online and offline culinary classes, delivers home-cooked and gourmet meals, and also hosts various events that feature celebrated chefs and creators giving budding chefs and food content creators a chance to experience pop-ups and workshops

After the presentation, attendees were divided into groups and asked to decorate a table with props provided by The Prop Affair for their perfect food shot. They were given backdrops, decor for the styling and even cute cupcakes that would be the focus of the images they were asked to shoot on their phones

Shivesh Bhatia went around the tables giving participants quick and easy tips and pointers on angles, lights, backdrops and props to make their pictures more appealing. The event has an ‘interesting mix of people’ said Shivesh. ‘A full-time baker, cookbook author, or a surgeon — there are people here from different backgrounds and it was a great experience interacting with everybody and understanding why food styling is relevant to them. They took to my tips and tricks and did a fabulous job styling their picture,’ he added

Being surrounded by food and all the conversation about it is bound to get you hungry. The Salt House put out an elaborate spread for all the attendees, which included some delicious and varied picks from pizza and nachos to pastas and rice dishes with sides

After the session, all of the participants were given certificates by Conosh  and Shivesh, who lauded Conosh for a great working experience. ‘They take so much off my head — they take care of the entire process including planning, venue, and registration. It lets me focus on what I need to focus on,’ he added

All the participants, along with Shivesh, took a group picture for a perfect ending and the baker recounted association with Conosh with whom he has been doing workshops since the time of the pandemic. ‘They first got in touch about online classes and we’ve done several online workshops on styling, editing, baking, photography throughout the pandemic. Now, we are doing a lot more physical workshops where we have been traveling to certain cities and it has always been a great experience working with them’
