Tribe Cafe, located in the centre of Salt Lake’s AB 25, Sector I, recently launched its monsoon menu. A must-visit for food and book lovers equally because of its lively environment and extensive menu, t2 took a walk, even as our tasting menu was getting ready.

A fusion of colours and aesthetics caught our eye. Visitors were welcomed by a huge bookcase, which was packed with books donated by various bookworms. Customers could borrow books from the cafe’s circulating library and enjoy a good read while enjoying their meals. The dining space was reminiscent of a large feast and had a shelf covered with fine artefacts. There was another area that was a sanctuary for art lovers and had paintings covering the walls, adding to the ambience that inspired creativity. Framed movie artefacts from the Hindi film industry were also eye-catchers.

With our table laden with delights, we sat down to enjoy the spread.

Corn and Chicken Chowder: This well-spiced soup spells comfort. The creamy corn-andchicken combination is tailor-made when it’s pouring outside.

Stuffed Jalapeno Fritters: Spicy and crispy fritters filled with yummy stuffing are a great option this rainy day. The heat from the jalapenos is balanced out by the cheese in the stuffing.
