Café Offbeat Up There’s Darjeeling Delight is a delightful curation by chef Paul Jonas Augustine. It has everything that will keep you warm and remind you of your favourite hill station, Darjeeling. The set-up is perfect with an expansive view of the city and EM Bypass and an unobstructive route for the wind to cheer you up. A cup of golden sip along with some steaming momos and upbeat music makes for an ideal winter evening. We sampled a few bites that included immaculately made dumplings, hot thupka with herby notes and a cup of Darjeeling that reminded us of our vacations at the hill station. Check it out.

For the ones who don’t mind having an ice cream in winter, there’s option of Fried Ice Cream that’s crunchy and yum.

Chicken Choila Momo is for those who look for more in their momo. The spicy profile of this Nepali dumpling had a lasting impression on our taste buds.

The scent and sun-kissed hue of a hot cup of Darjeeling tea can elevate moods. Sip and feel the warmth of the short-lived season.

If you are looking for something crispy when the weather turns colder then you can opt for Chebureki. We opted for the non-veg variant that was loaded with minced chicken.

The chef makes a pleasant change in the texture of the Thupka replacing normal noodles with flat ones. We loved the kick of grounded pepper in the slurpy dish.

Chicken Shab Tra makes for a filling and flavourful meal. Chicken cooked in Asian spices and served with steamed rice, papaya salad and crisps is comforting. It also has a vegetarian version.

This entree brings in Thupka and Momo in one plate along with a gamut of flavours and it’s a perfect way to keep you warm and full in the cold weather.

“With Darjeeling Delights we have curated a menu that will remind you of the Queen of hill stations. The ambience here with a panoramic view of the city serves as the best set-up. I have kept some classic items like momo and a few unique dishes like Shab Tra. We also have Thupka made with flat noodles. And there is the all-time favourite Darjeeling tea to complete the experience,” said chef Paul Jonas Augustine.
