Canteen Pub & Grub, the chill spot in City Centre Salt Lake, has come up with a fun new winter menu that makes the most of seasonal produce as well as cold weather specials. The menu is a fine mix of cocktails as well as grub with dishes that traverse the various parts of the country. The Telegraph dug into the spread and here’s getting you our faves.
Darjeeling Street Momos: Famous street-style Tibetan dumplings stuffed with coriander, onions, chillies and chicken/ veggies like cabbage, carrots and cheese. The sauce on the side will blow your mind.
Santa’s Secret Sex: Whisky, homemade date syrup and aromatic bitters create this Christmassy concoction.
Canteen ka Hot Toddy: Dark Rum, clove, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cranberry juice, apple juice and Earl Grey tea create this hot sip that’s a festive fave.
Mutton Nalli Nehari with Lamb: Lamb shank slowly cooked in traditional Awadhi spices and served with Butter Naan.
Sarson Da Saag Chicken: The famous dish from Punjab gets a twist with chicken chunks cooked with mustard greens, garlic, ginger and special spices.
