Taj Bengal gets ready for grill by the pool with its recently opened poolside dining space

Come winter and the poolside of Taj Bengal transforms into a bright and beautiful dining space, with plenty of lights all around, and a pop-up kitchen that emanates the smell of some fabulous cooking

Come winter and the poolside of Taj Bengal transforms into a bright and beautiful dining space, with plenty of lights all around, and a pop-up kitchen that emanates the smell of some fabulous cooking. This year too, Grill by the Pool is back for yet another season, and that too by a revamped poolside with jacuzzi.
“This time the idea was to promote sustainability and local ingredients. We’re doing global recipes with local ingredients. We have fondue but the cheese is from a local farm in Kumaon. Similarly, all ingredients are sourced locally, yet we have Asian and Continental delicacies on the menu. We have appetisers, grills and meal-in-a-bowl concept as well. Appetisers on hot stone, soups, Asian bowl meals, sizzling grills and desserts, all are a part of this year’s menu,” said Nitin Mathur, executive chef, Taj Bengal.

The live gazebo grill kitchen is where all the action really happens. Guests can see their dishes being prepared right in front of their eyes, and the smell of appetising grills fills the air.

The all-new international standardised swimming pool is an apt spot for date night photos and selfies. Juxtaposed against the greens in the area, the blue of the pool stands out and makes for a romantic setting.

Kumaon Cheese Fondue: Keeping up with the theme of sustainability, the fondue has cheese locally sourced from farms in Kumaon in the hills. The mellow cheese is complemented by roasted baby potatoes, grilled veggies, croutons and pickles.
