Sunday brunches at Ozora are a vibe

Ozora, the 20th-floor sky bar in Acropolis Mall, is all set to wow your Sundays with their ‘drunch’, that is, a bespoke brunch that showcases the best of cuisines along with a number of cocktails and other boozy offerings, and live counters.

“A Sunday well spent brings a week of happiness. We have designed the menu with global cuisines keeping the desi tadka in mind. One gets to experience the best of everything from food to cocktails to the ambience under the big blue sky,” said Sumiet Raghuvanshi, executive chef, White Castle Hospitality, the parent company that owns Ozora.

“Winter sun, open sky, chill music with delicious cocktails and food is the perfect kind of brunch for me. That is exactly what we have intended to curate here. It’s like a motivation to get up from bed on a Sunday morning and look forward to a crazy day ahead,” said Varun Mimani (right) and Aditya Mehta, directors, White Castle Hospitality.

Starters

The non-vegetarian starters consisted of dishes such as Chermoula Chicken, a tasty Middle Eastern flavour, BBQ Chicken Wings, Fish Koliwada, a staple from the coastal regions of Maharashtra, and the spicy and zesty Bhoot Jholokia Chicken Tikka

Desserts had a mix and match of faves such as the boozy Old Monk Yin Yang Pie, classic Blueberry Cheesecake, Fruit Cake, a stellar fusion called Motichur Parfait that has a saffron mousse along with motichur balls; the Bengali fave was the Nolen Gur Baked Rasgulla, along with ice cream

Live counters

One of our favourite stops at the brunch was the phuchka stall where you could have phuchka, street-style, and customise it to your tastes when it comes to teekha or meetha and khatta paani

Another live counter that was a hit with diners was the Maggi and eggs counter where you could order a range of variants ranging from masala to veggie, eggs or even simple plain Maggi. Served hot, right under the winter sun

Cocktail bar

The cocktail bar was chock-a-block with diners waiting for their special cocktails. Some of the popular sips from the afternoon included Mojito in different flavours, Watermelon Sangria, Gin Fizz, the fragrant Gondhoraj Caprioska, Drunken Melon, White Wine Sangria among others. Live cocktails such as Candy Floss Bellini and Big Boy Ice Gola were also top faves
