Sudipta Chakraborty has returned to the small screen as an anchor for the show Rannaghorer Goppo on Colors Bangla. The show attempts to revive long-lost recipes and flavours. The cookery show takes the viewers on a culinary journey of spices and stories and celebrates the legacy of Bengali food and recipes. The National Award-winning actor will be with the guests, helping them whip up delicious recipes from the past.

“I am really happy that the channel has thought of a lovely concept like this. I am proud to be a part of such a heart-touching show. Rannaghorer Goppo is all about good food, unadulterated entertainment and some amazing stories of the personal journeys of each guest. I love cooking because it is a stress reliever for me and a well-cooked dish wins hearts in no time,” says Sudipta. The show is on air every day at 5pm on Colors Bangla.

Speaking on the occasion, Sagnik Ghosh, business head, Colors Bangla, said, “In Bengali households most conversations revolve around food. The food culture of Bengal has witnessed evolution over time and in this transition a lot of old recipes have been lost. Through this show we want to revive the lost culinary tastes of some drool-worthy Bengali food. It will be a perfect journey of long-lost food tales and reach out to those who seek different recipes.”
