Royal Vega’s Shishir Ritu Khasa menu is pure indulgence

The Sattvik Verification Label Mark ascertained that quality and safety of vegetarian cuisine has met the Sattvik management standard

Royal Vega, the vegetarian restaurant at ITC Royal Bengal, is serving up Shishir Ritu Khasa menu till mid-March. The restaurant of the star hotel that is known for its seasonal vegetarian menu has also another reason to celebrate, as they are now the first restaurant in the state to get ‘Sattvik Certified’ by the Sattvik Council of India.

The Sattvik Verification Label Mark ascertained that quality and safety of vegetarian cuisine has met the Sattvik management standard. Sattvik Verification is an assurance that the dishes being prepared do not contain any traces of ‘non-vegan’ or ‘non-vegetarian’ and other harmful components in them.

Catering to the winter season, their Shishir Ritu Khasa menu is typically a set menu, Royal Vega style, that oozes grandeur and luxury.

“This menu has the best of winter produce from all across the country. We have something like Sarson ka Raita that originates from Rajasthan but I have taken the sarson kasundi from Kolkata with a good sprinkle of mustard oil. Then Rajma Tikki is like galouti but its different made with kidney beans... Most of the dishes have a touch of Bengal and the dishes are generally heat generating for the winter season,” said Varun Mohan, chef culinaire, Royal Vega, ITC Royal Bengal.
