Ozora's season special, Spirit of the Monk, raises a toast to the rum

Ozora’s monsoon special menu, Spirit of the Monk, is an ode to the iconic rum and it features a dozen bites and sips that incorporate the same. Chef Ajit Bhowmick has created half a dozen small bites that pair amazingly well with the half dozen tipple curated by Debashish Saha at the bar. We dropped by the plush rooftop address one afternoon when the sky had cleared and started our taste sojourn. This bite-sized and juicy appetizer Rum Bites is essentially raisin-stuffed mushroom with a twist of rum. We paired it with a fruity and smoky Coco Loco. This was followed by more flavourful bites that mixed the vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The rum-based cocktails reflected the mixer’s finesse in curating zesty, fruity and herby drinks with rum and we recommend you try them all till the season of rain lasts.
