From the outside, the sheer scale of Moomba will stun you. Mini fountains on the outer patio, a huge floorto-ceiling glass door, and, massive French windows with floral accents invite you into the 100-seater restaurant, that’s spread over 4,500sq ft.
“We thought of many names and eventually the term ‘moomba’ fascinated us. When we did our research, we found out it actually means coming together of a community to celebrate, and that was most befitting of our outlet,” said Rohit Ojha, director.
Moomba is a family space with global fusion cuisine and a stellar cocktail menu that includes classic and local sips.
The Telegraph gets you a first look.
This is the all-day dining section, once again done in neutral tones. It has plenty of natural light from the massive French windows. Granite-top tables and wooden chairs with rattan and velvet upholstery define the place. We absolutely dig these pastel chandeliers.
This is another casual dining section, that has faux fig trees lined around, lending it a Mediterranean vibe. Moomba also has a mezzanine private dining section that’s only available via pre-booking. “We will be playing soft house music, to let our guests enjoy their conversation comfortably while enjoying the food and cocktails. We want it to be a chill vibe,” said resident DJ, DJ Zak and Ganesh Soni, head of operations.
A woodfired oven, handmade by Marco Cappiotti graces the live kitchen that will be serving hot pizzas, mezze and more.
There is a pop of colour in this photo corner. We love the well-placed installation.
