Karma Kettle, known amongst city tea connoisseurs for its unique artisanal teas, unveils its partner brand Talipot House, a mindful, eco-conscious home and lifestyle brand, at a new address. This collaboration takes inspiration from the coastal life of Pondicherry, where minimalism and organic living are embraced naturally. The founders of Karma Kettle, Dhiraj Arora and wife Priti Sen Arora, have the singular goal of introducing and promoting this lifestyle in Calcutta.
Located at Hindustan Park, the cafe-cum-store is spread over 1,100sq ft space, with a stunning retail section and a 20-seater café. While the green oxide floor and a stunning Coromandel coast landscape transports one to the shoreline of the southern coasts of India, Talipot House draws inspiration from the majestic Talipot tree, the largest species of palm tree, found scattered on the Coromandel coast of India. Just as the Talipot tree nurtures its surroundings, the brand, too, empowers various local communities. t2 gives you an exclusive walk-through to plan your next outing.

“My wife Priti Sen Arora and I are excited to unveil Karma Kettle’s new location in Hindustan Park. Karma Kettle is a 100 per cent Calcutta brand. When we started eight years ago out of our tearoom in Ballygunge, our objective was to redefine the way in which tea was presented and consumed, moving beyond serving only orthodox or traditional teas. The response was overwhelming. A life-changing decision to move to Pondicherry during the pandemic, in search of conscious living, was the birth of the Talipot House brand, named after one of the tallest palm trees in Asia, also found in our garden! Through the Talipot House, we bring a piece of Pondicherry to Calcutta — a discerning market where consumers value the importance of handcrafted, sustainable products. Talipot House is a partner brand that allows you to embark on mindful living with thoughtful products that are timeless, beautiful, and have a story to tell about community empowerment,” said Dhiraj Arora, co-founder of Karma Kettle and Talipot House.
