1.Bacon and Eggs from Howl’s Moving Castle

Hayao Miyazaki’s world has shown us some of the best foods when it comes to animation. From the delicious Ramen in Ponyo to the mouth-watering cake in Kiki’s Delivery Service and the large buffet spread of unusual yet tempting foods in Spirited Away, the Ghibli movies have always made its viewers want to try out something from their amazing animated foods. The easiest one to recreate would probably be the classic breakfast consisting of eggs and tonnes of bacon from Howl’s Moving Castle, the only thing missing would be Howl’s loyal fiery friend Calcifer!

2. Sakura Mochi from Demon Slayer

While this much-loved anime airs its third season featuring the Mist and Love Hashiras, you should definitely try the Love Hashira Kanroji Mitsuri’s favourite Sakura Mochis. Made with sticky rice flavoured with Sakura flavouring, a red bean filling and topped with Sakura leaves, this sweet and sticky delicacy is light and a filling meal.

3. Kimbap from The Good Bad Mother

It is a rice-based dish wrapped in seaweed and stuffed with veggies, tofu or fried meat. This Korean staple is a must-try if you like something healthy and less spicy. Looking for recipe inspirations, then definitely refer to Lee Mijoo’s Kimbap recipe from the hit K-drama The Good Bad Mother, which happens to have a lot of pickled radishes, eggs and ham. You might also want to binge on the K-drama while recreating this recipe.

4. Mighty Toast from Chainsaw Man

Much-awaited anime Chainsaw Man took anime fans on a whirlwind journey of Devil hunters and also featured amazing dishes from Japan like Udon and Japanese curry with rice. However, the easiest to recreate would be protagonist Denji’s Mighty Toast! Loaded with tonnes of butter, strawberry jam, Ume (plum) jam, orange jam, spoons full of honey and heaping spoons of cinnamon powder, this toast is not your ordinary toast and definitely worth a shot.

5. Japchae from XO Kitty

The To All the Boys film trilogy spin-over focuses on Lara Jean’s younger sister Kitty as she unravels her deceased mother’s high-school days in Korea. The show features exquisite Korean culinary delights including Japchae, which is basically sweet potato starch noodles stir-fried with vegetables and meat. It also happens to be one of the dishes heartthrob Minho from the show makes for Kitty’s Chuseok (celebration of the mid-autumn full moon) party.
